Sephora Breast Cancer Awareness Makeup Palette REVIEW & SWATCHES 04.14

Ok. This is crazy but I have been crazy for preloved makeup lately. It's one way to get an authentic stuffs with super MUCH cheaper price. That's how I got this palette :D . The real price should be around USD 49.95 with free shipping in Amazon, and it's no longer exist on their website. But some blogs such as http://www.hellomissniki.com and http://theblondeandthebrunette.com mentioned USD 25 as its price. Maybe the Amazon one was just overpricing this, or maybe that's why they offered free shipping. My price? I got this for IDR 175.000,- exclude shipping cost. Let's say it's IDR 200.000! For Indonesia price of this brand? Quite nice, maybe actual price will be more than IDR 300.000.
I know there are sooo many negatives review on this and I'm just curious of how this high-end brand brought this pallete on myself. You can check the other products of Sephora here. Let's start.

This palette consist of 6 cute blushes color. From my swatches and in my opinion, the only two blushes that very pigmented is the D and F. The A, D, and E are the shimmery blushes and the B, C, and F are matte.
In my swatch in hand, the A color was the most blended color, the same color with my skin. I don't know if it will create a good blushes but if it's not I hope I can use it as a highlighter. So, here is the swatches in my hand.

Honestly, I swatched them 2-3 times until I got the color pop on my hand, except the two colors that I said previously to be the pigmented one, the D and F. Anyway they're blushes, I have a local blush colored orange that is not really pigmented when I swatched in my hand but it beautifully visible when I put it on my cheeks. I don't really expect blushes to be verrrryyy pigmented when I swatched them in my hand.

EYESHADOWS

This is the hardest part of reviewing a palette. Contains of 36 colors of eyeshadows and the color mostly said to be used in pinky makeup. I don't think so. I think it contains almost all the essential colors we need. Whop. I only swatched them on my hand too, haven't tried any on my own eyes.

I also have this difficulties to capture the exact color of the palette. Miss Niki captured is more defined than mine, but I think they're more brownish than the original while mine is more too bright. Ok, the real color will be between those pics. Happy wondering! *just give up*

Looks almost the same? True. No. 1-2-3 is like shimmer satiny finish. No. 4 is totally silvery glitter. No. 5 is just like yellow skin-toned matte color (and chalky too) and no. 6 is milky white matte color (also chalky).

The second row consist of 4 shimmery shadows and 2 matte shadows. I love no. 7 swatch! Here comes the problem of this palette so far. The matte shadows tend to chalky and hard to be pop enough. And ah ya, can you see no. 12 clearly? No? It has the almost similar swatch with no. 4 above. The only different is the no.4 has a little bigger glitter. But the result? The same. Really.

The 3rd row contains 5 shimmery shadows, and 1 glittery shadow.. All of them are shimmery pigmented enough shadows except the no 16. No. 15 is more glittery. You can't see that in Miss Niki's pic but you can catch the glitter on my captured. And wait, purple shadows seem to be the biggest trouble too in this palette, whoah!

Ok, move to the 4th row. It contains 4 shimmery shadows and 2 matte shadows. Purple now is quite pigmented but you can see the harsh line on my swatch. It's 1x swatch and the line appears. Should find some tricks to use it. No. 24 seems to not pigmented because it's a light grey matte color.

5th row! It contains 3 shimmery shadows, 2 glittery shadows and 1 matte black shadow. No. 28 and 29 should be glittery. In photos you can only see the no. 29 glittery stuff but not in no.28. No.28's glitter is liiiiiitle visible in natural lights. Purple however, is sooo chalky. Some rubs to blend it might erase it.

Last row consist of two matte color ( 31 & 34 ), one shimmery ( 33 ) and three glittery shadows ( 32, 35, 36 ). Weird, the color dark purple become black-look color ( 34 ). I've tried to swatch many times and the results were just the same. The glittery are quite visible for no. 32 and 36 (see the natural lights pic) while the no, 35 looks like just plain black. I will try to explain the almost similar color swatch, in the real palette.
No. 31 is a dark brown.
No. 33 is a shimmery dark brown.
No. 34 supposed to be a dark purple, matte.
No. 35 supposed to be a black glittery. The glitter is GREEN. Dark with a dark glitter.
No. 36 is a black glittery. The glitter is silver. That's why it's visible.

LIPS

I haven't done any lipgloss swatch in my own lips because this palette has no brushes or tools, I guess I have to get one of the lip brush to swatch them. For now, here is the pic of the lipgloss that I took.

Since in the last post I was addicted with red lips, I'm curious and can't wait to wear the red lipgloss in this palette! The previous owner of this palette had used almost all color of the palette, but it still left much for me. Lovely preloved thing!

That's it! My review, my opinion and my new palette. My first high-end brand.
Above all, I concluded that some colors are just chalky and hard to apply, some are nice. If I only look at the bad part, the local eyeshadows and blushes can be much better than this. But at the good part, there are still sooo much nice color left and ready to be tried soon!

Color Play! 10.01

Lagi iseng main makeup hari ini. Kepengen pakai NYX Round Lipstick Pure Red di fullface makeup. Pakai beberapa produk yg dipunya, seadanya saja.
Btw, I love local products! Siapa bilang produk lokal itu gak ada apa-apanya dibanding produk luar? Di make up ini aku pakai campuran produk lokal dan luar, dan hasilnya menurutku cukup bagus kok :)

FACE STUFFS

1. Innisfree Mineral Moisture Foundation - C2
I love this more than any BB creams! Hehe. Coverage nya medium, hasilnya natural dan tahan lama. Terlebih, di kulit aku produk ini lebih well-blended dan kalau dibiarkan beberapa saat akan menyesuaikan warna kulitku juga. Mungkin karena aku cocok dengan tone nya, ngga terlalu putih.
2. Viva Face Powder - Natural
Cheap products, aku sudah pakai bedak Viva sejak beberapa tahun lalu. Ganti yg lain malah ngga cocok. Preference sih. Ketahanan lumayan, kalau bedak tabur biasa (bukan mineral powder) memang ngga terlalu tahan lama but I'm totally fine with it. 
3. Viva Blush On Duo - No. 4
Baru beli beberapa waktu lalu ketika mau ada acara resepsi kawan. Di toko dekat rumah ini adalah satu-satunya blush on yang terhitung murah. So I grabbed, ngga ada salahnya nyoba :) Aku pakai warna cokelatnya untuk shading dan sedikit contouring dan orange untuk blush tipis.

4. Inez Eyeshadow - 05 Venice

Another local stuff! I love this. Warnanya natural dan bisa dipakai kapanpun, sehari-hari maupun acara khusus. Beberapa blogger sudah pernah mereview ini juga :D
5. Falsies
Waktu itu kepengen belajar pakai falsies, akhirnya nemu jual falsies sekotak isi 10 pasang! Beli 2 macam, yg tipis (as pic) dan yang tebal antibadai ala syahrini. So far, tipis lebih nyaman. Yah, namanya aja barang murah, bagus buat belajaran :)
6. Keli Falsies Glue
Ini lem bulu mata, satu-satunya yg dijual di supermarket dekat rumah. So I put a little try and not bad :) Bening, sehabis pakai ini harusnya di touch dengan eyeliner lagi supaya ngga kelihatan. Tapi berhubung mata sipit, ngga kelihatan kok :D
7. NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil - French Fries
Shadenya bronze, love this! Aku pakai setelah apply yang Cottage Cheese sbg basenya, di eyelidku yang kecil mungil.
8. NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil - Dark Brown
Dark brown, the usual color. Dipakai sedikit di atas French Fries.
9. NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil - Cottage Cheese
Putih susu dengan shimmer, aku jadikan base.
10. Sariayu Alas Bedak - Kuning Langsat
I know it's weird, tapi ini aku jadikan sbg pengganti eye primer. It works by the way :D

How To:
1. Ambil Sariayu alas bedak sedikit di ujung telunjuk, apply pada seluruh kelopak mata dan bawah mata.
2. NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil Cottage Cheese di apply ke seluruh kelopak, lalu di blend dengan jari sampai merata tipis sampai ke browbone. Keluar shimmer di mata, nice!
3. Pakai NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil French Fries ke eyelid, lalu sedikit di atas French Fries apply Dark Brown hingga tengah kelopak mata.
4. Bagian Dark Brown di blend dengan Inez Venice, warna nomor 4 dan dibuat garis keluar kelopak mata.
5. Ambil Inez Venice warna nomor 2 dengan blending brush, lalu blend bagian Dark Brown hingga tdk menyisakan garis sampai ke tulang alis.
6. Apply Inez Venice nomor 3 digaris mata bagian bawah.
7. Apply Bioaha hitam sebagai eyeliner pada garis mata atas, buat wing effect, dan setengah bagian mata bawah. Smudge sedikit eyeliner digaris mata bawah (yang setengah itu)
8. Curl your eyelashes and apply mascara.
9. Pasang falsies, diamkan hingga betul-betul mengering, lalu curl falsies beserta eyelash asli.
10. Bentuk alis mata dengan sikat, apply drawing eyebrow, lalu sikat lagi untuk membuat terlihat natural. Done.

Review NYX Round Lipstick Pure Red (LS 533A) 04.25

Mendadak kesambet setan apaan, kepengennya pakai lipstick super terang. Sedikit obsessed dengan red lipstick ala Marylin Monroe atau Christina Aguilera, meski sadar diri gak bakal jadi begitu karena kulit juga gak putih-putih amat :))

Craving for NYX Round Lipstick lately, terutama Electra! Waktu order ternyata si Electra ini kosong, adanya Pure Red, yasudah order Pure Red, dan satu warna lagi Perfect.
NYX Round Lipstick supposed to glide on smoothly, jadi ngga pernah kepikiran bahwa NYX Round Lipstick Pure Red ini ternyata matte. Lebih-lebih, warna pure red itu nampaknya (menurut saya pribadi) jatuhnya bukan merah atau merah darah seperti swatchnya, tapi lebih agak pink. Mom said it was "merah delima" ?

Dicoba berkali-kali hasilnya tetep lebih ke pink. Finally harus apply berkali-kali dlm sekali pakai supaya benar-benar keluar merahnya. I finally applied it successfully here.

Overall Review

Pro:
- Interesting karena bisa berbagai warna dlm satu lipstick. Hanya perlu apply more untuk dapat red yg sesungguhnya
- Pigmented!
- Tahan sekitar 2 jam, lebih jika tidak makan minum
- Mudah dibersihkan, ngga bersisa di bibir :)

Cons:
- Beda dengan swatch, agak kaget dan mengecewakan tapi tetap ada positifnya :D
- Matte. Not really me-thing.

DISCLAIMER
My simple opinion only, if you guys find out that your Pure Red is really purely red then this lipstick was made totally for you. Color might be different due to skin tone, lips tone, lights, and your computer's brightness-contrast thing.

Trisia Haul! Local products with GREAT review! 09.05

There are soo many wedding invitation recently just calling me to buy some makeup haul. I did. I will review them as soon as possible after I try them all.

Back to this review, I read about this brand in a Female Daily thread. This is a local brand that hasn't been widely knows. Me, myself, just knew this after read some good review on the forum. Trisia products are produced by PT Tritunggal Sinarjaya in Jakarta, Indonesia or else you can find the product here. Their products are safe and already registered in BPOM so you can go check their registered numbers too.

As usual, I always noted some goods products and from the Female Daily Trisia thread people were craving for their Soybean Line, which consist of facial foam, mask, day cream, night cream, and serum. You can also find their milk cleanser and toner in the "Produk Salon" part which were quite interesting to be tasted. The top reviewed product is their Soybean serum!

Trisia products can also be found in some local cosmetics store, and I was soooo lazy to find them, while the FDers (members of Female Daily) suggested to find them in local store rather than buy from their website. I tried to buy them online and voila I finally got them!

My current treasure

I bought their Soybean Serum in 8 ml, their Soybean Cleansing Milk and Toner both in 20 ml each. I'm eager to try them all but wait...I gotta finish my current skincare before swithing them over these baby. The following post will give you hints for their each appearance, ingredients, and BPOM registered number.

So, as you can see the ingredients. If you hate parabens and perfumes in a skincare, this product is definately NOT for you. I don't personally sensitive to the ingredients so I feel fine with it. It cost Rp 37.500 (equal to USD 4.2, using forex rate Rp 9.000 for USD 1) and it's considered as cheap for me.

Ethanol, yes. If you're looking for alcohol-free toner, this product is definately NOT for you. I don't know yet how much the alcohol is, but I'm gonna try this product soon so I will make a new review for them. This toner costs Rp 26.000 (equal to USD 2.9, using forex rate Rp 9.000 for USD 1)

TRISIA SOYBEAN WHITENING SERUM

This serum was in the top rated of Trisia products according to some FDers. It is believed to cure acnes faster, leave the skin softer and also brightening the skin. For the sake of that reviews, this product is on the top list of my Trisia wish. If the review is true, this is much cheaper than the well-known-brand serum. It only costs Rp 49.500 (equal to USD 5.5, using forex rate Rp 9.000 for USD 1).

That's it for the "dream-come-true" list for the Trisia products. I hope they will work well on my skin so I can just swatch all my skincare products to their products, because they are considered cheap. Trisia also has a cosmetics line, that I also want to try, but not as much as I want these products hahaha.

I will review this skincare soon after I finish using them!

First review! VOV Lip Care Balm in Orange 10.01

Last week I was so in to some lip care stuffs. Aku beli beberapa lip balm, dan VOV Lip Care Balm Orange ini salah satunya. I love taking pictures, I hope it's ok with you :) and I was taking all these pictures using my blackberry so the pictures maybe is not good enough for some of the readers.

It is a plastic jar packaged, warnanya fresh orange just as the name. Dibagian belakang ada tulisan beratnya adalah kurang lebih 10.5 gram, which is quite much for a balm.

The bad thing for the jar packaging adalah kita harus pakai jari untuk mengoleskan ke bibir, atau pakai kuas lipstik jadinya kurang praktis untuk mobile karena harus bawa 2 benda sekaligus yaitu balm dan kuas. Selain itu, ke-higienis-an nya diragukan, dibanding lip balm stick.

It's red and smells soooo yummy!

Meski namanya orange dan packingnya orange, surprisingly the balm is red and it smells sooooooo good! Bagaikan permen sugus rasa jeruk jaman dulu!

What I love most adalah ketika digunakan di bibir, ngga terasa berat dan tebal seperti lip balm pada umumnya. Jadinya waktu dipakai hanya seperti pakai lip gloss super tipis, for me personally.

When I swatched it in my hand, it showed a pretty soft pink. I was actually hope that the color would show up on my lips. Ternyata di bibir warna pink nya tidak cukup kuat untuk membuat shade but it creates a super nice wet-look lips.

Warna asli bibir aku ngga gelap, tapi juga not as nude-pink as the korean. Pakai lip balm ini, jadi sediiiikkiiiiitttt lebih pink dan gloss. And I super love it!

Please note that in this photo, I didn't use any make up. Malahan ini adalah penampilan malam setelah night-care jadinya terlihat cukup berminyak (or glowy?). As you can see, this lipbalm made a super cute gloss-like lips. Tapi warna merahnya gak berpengaruh banyak dengan warna bibir. Karena itu sehari-harinya aku mengkombinasikan lip balm ini dengan...........

Tony Moly Lip Tint in Cherry Pink!

Yepp! Tony Moly Lip Tint dengan warna Cherry Pink.I don't actually love this products untuk digunakan sendiri karena tekstur watery nya bikin cepat meresap even before I could spread them! Ugh. Sedangkan warna bibir dan warna wajah ku sama sekali ngga cocok dengan warna super pink. It has to be a nude pink, peach, or definately brown, the dark one!

Aku pakaikan bagian bibir atas dan bawah masing-masing 3 titik, lalu aku ratakan ke seluruh bibir. Voila! Jadilah lip gloss pink yg cantik, dan ga terlalu terlihat menyala. Kalo sudah begini, aku rasa aku CINTA Tony Moly Lip Tint!

Overall Review

Pro:
- Super love the orange smell!
- Tekstur di bibir ringan, ngga berat
- Nggak menggumpal setelah beberapa lama, seperti waktu aku pakai Nivea lipbalm!
- Kombinasi dengan Tony Moly Lip Tint bikin super pretty pink gloss

Cons:
- Wadah jar yg kurang higienis dan praktis!
- Kurang tahan lama, harus sering re-apply padahal wadah jar nya bikin ngga memungkinkan untuk re-apply sewaktu-waktu dengan cepat dan higienis
